It’s important for everyone to receive touch and feel held.
Touch and Awareness
We all have aches and pain and stiffness in our bodies. Some of this is from physical sources, such as poor posture, carrying heavy things, or repetitive movements. But some of our aches and pains are due to emotional hurt trapped in the body.
When we experience pain, anger, hurt, loneliness, grief or stress, we move our bodies into certain postures. We clench our jaw or our fists, we hunch our shoulders, we bend over to protect our heart and our stomach. These postures and the tension that creates them often gets ‘locked’ in our bodies. It can stay there for months, years, or even decades. Unlike animals, who often shake themselves off after being attacked or experiencing a heavy experience, we store these past hurts in our muscles.
In my own experience receiving Touch and Awareness sessions, I went back to moments early in life, when I had felt alone and abandoned. I realised that these experiences were what made me so convinced of the healing power of touch, and the importance of feeling held. That’s what I’d like to offer to people during Touch of Awareness sessions.

Touch and Awareness is a bodywork system that seeks to bring awareness and understanding to emotional tension in the body, easing both psychological and physical pain. I will ask some questions and then begin touching certain parts of your body where you feel tension (or where I see it). We will talk through the emotions and thoughts that come up when I am working on each part. It’s quite amazing (and unpredictable) what can emerge during a session.
Afterwards, you can feel relieved, light-headed, deeply relaxed, and have a sense of clarity. Everyone has a different experience, and often each session is very different.

I’m a very tactile person, and have always been in love with the power of touch. I’ve worked with my hands and with physical mediums: first as a photographer, and later as a ceramicist, where I refined my delicate yet firm touch. I love dancing, have practiced yoga for years. Currently I’m working as a portrait photographer and Touch and Awareness practitioner.
A few years ago, I was plunged into the world of bodywork. It opened up so much for me — physically, emotionally, mentally. I came into contact with wonderful and inspiring people and discovered a lot about myself and the human condition. I also suffered from long-COVID and have received enormous relief from various forms of bodywork.
I want to offer something special to others. I want my touch to have some effect on you: to help you become more relaxed, more at peace, in less pain, more present in your body… whatever it is you need at that moment.
Whether it’s with my camera, my hands. I’m present there with you, intuitively sensing your energy and guiding it where it needs to go.
My clients
“Sophie has given me something truly precious: she has helped me discover that I am much stronger than I ever realised. During a difficult period in my life, she created a space where everything was welcome, offering warmth, sincerity and a reassuring presence.
From the moment you step inside, you feel welcome. Her practice space is light with a warm, inviting atmosphere that immediately puts you at ease.
The Touch & Awareness sessions have brought me not only deep relaxation, but also a renewed sense of trust and valuable insights. Sophie has an intuitive sense of what is needed, without judgement or direction. She guides you with gentleness, sensitivity and care.
I am deeply grateful to her. With Sophie’s support, I have found the courage to trust myself again and feel that, step by step, I am reclaiming my life.”
Brigitte“I felt stuck because of chronic illness, pain, and my tendency to try to figure everything out with my mind.
Sophie helps me discover what it really means to listen to my body. I’m learning to understand where my tension comes from and how to develop trust. I’m also gaining a deeper understanding of my emotions and my body.
There’s nothing vague about this work. It’s more tangible than talk therapy. I recommend it to everyone.”
Bella“Sophie gently yet powerfully guides me through the overwhelming feelings of grief I’ve been experiencing. Through her mindful touch and calm presence, she creates a safe container where I can consciously feel the tension and sadness, allowing them to slowly soften and release. After every session with Sophie, I leave feeling calmer, more at peace, and deeply supported. Her beautiful, serene practice space only adds to this experience.”
